Sporting Blue Valley texts are text messages from Blue Valley Soccer Club, Inc., doing business as Sporting Blue Valley and Sporting Blue Valley Soccer Club. By signing up you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.
What the club texts
The program is called Sporting Blue Valley texts. Every text says it's from SBV or Sporting Blue Valley.
Field status
For anyone who signs up on the field status page (sbvweather.com): a program or SBV HQ closed, delayed, on the heat schedule or back on, for the programs they pick.
SBV updates (optional)
Only for people who tick its own box: on the field status page (or later on their own page), or beside their mobile on one of the club's sign-up forms. New programs, sign-up dates and club news, as soon as the club knows. These are marketing texts. Nobody needs to agree to them to get anything else, and a yes from a sign-up form starts only after the phone replies YES to the club's first text.
Staff texts
For the club's coaches, directors and team admins who turn them on in the SBV Suite: fields closed or delayed while they're coaching, coverage requests and covers, their team's games moved or cancelled, a check-in reminder an hour before a program they're coaching, a coach's invoice when it's ready, an urgent staff chat message they haven't read, and sign-in links they ask for.
How often, and what it costs
- Message frequency varies: it depends on the weather, the season and what you signed up for.
- Message and data rates may apply from your phone company. The club never charges for its texts.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How to stop, or get help
- Reply STOP to any text (or END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE or QUIT). You get one last text saying you're stopped, and nothing more from the club's number.
- Reply START to get them again.
- Reply HELP for help, or call the SBV office at (913) 685-2872.
- You can also stop field status texts with Stop these texts on your own page (the link after your code), and staff can press Turn off texts on their Texts page.
How people sign up
Nobody is signed up by anyone else: each phone confirms from the phone itself before its texts start.
1. The field status page
- Open sbvweather.com (also at sbvsuite.com/status) and go to Get Updates.
- Type your mobile number.
- Tick the box beside these words (it's never ticked for you):

SBV updates have their own box, also never ticked for you and not needed for anything:

- Press Get updates. The first text carries the code, the program's name, how often, the rates and how to stop.
- Type the code on the page. Only then do the texts start.
2. The club's sign-up forms
- On one of the club's sign-up forms (Email me the plan on the program quiz at joinsbv.com and on the club's pages, the Rec Season Plan at sbvrec.com, a program's sales page, or platform interest), type your mobile number.
- If you'd like SBV updates by text, tick the box beside these words (it's never ticked for you, and the form works without it):

- Send the form. The club sends one text asking you to reply YES, with how often, the rates, HELP and STOP:

- Reply YES. Only then do SBV updates start; nothing else is texted until you do.
3. Staff, in the SBV Suite
- Coaches, directors and team admins sign in to the SBV Suite with their email and PIN, and open Texts.
- Type their mobile number.
- Tick the box beside these words (never ticked for them):

- Press Text me a code, then type the code from the text. Only then do the texts start.
Getting texts is up to them: everything still comes by email.
Your number
Your mobile number and your yes to texts are only used for the texts you asked for. They are never shared, sold or rented to anyone else, and never given to anyone for marketing. See the Privacy Policy.
